WAQWA / Spoony Cup - GATOMIKIO Lacquerware

The running pattern of “wa” rings is designed on the surface on bowls and cups, as it looks like water rippling outward. Including the circles inside the bowls and cups, and even the shapes of the spoons, WAQWA expresses the beauty of a range of circles. WAQWA was also designed considering how people hold their cutlery and the bowls functions.
Because the sound of WAQWA also sounds like the Japanese word “wakuwaku,” which means “looking forward to do something,” we hope that WAQWA will make users look forward to having a meal with its bowls and cups.
