Situated in Aichi Prefecture, Seto is renowned as one of the most historic hubs for pottery production in Japan, boasting a rich heritage that spans over a millennium. However, in recent years, the industry has faced significant challenges, including a dwindling number of successors and the proliferation of mass-produced, low-cost alternatives that threaten the traditional artistry of Seto-yaki.
